If I put it to sync every 2 hrs where would this be any different than my IMAP??

Why can't this just work!! I mean I don't want my internet connection active all the time, I don't want to worry about battery life with shorter sync times... Why can't it just show my email WHEN I receive a email and not do anything else!?!?
From my experience, as far as efficiency/battery life goes, using ActiveSync is better than IMAP (which of course kills POP3, which is awful).

So all else being equal, I would venture that 2hr Google Sync vs 2hr Google IMAP,the former would be faster on send/receive and better for the battery.

Just my 2 cents. If anyone has confirming/dis-confirming anecdotes or data, it'd be greatly appreciated.
