What is BikeDashboard ?
BikeDashboard is a
Windows Mobile (5 and above) application for all push bike enthusiasts (mountain bike and/or road bike) who want to:
- keep a track of their achievements:
- where they have been,
- how long ,
- how fast,
- how high,
- have a navigation help using GPX file to discover new tracks (you can download some from various web sites including excellent ones as www.bikely.com or www.bikeradar.com or else www.nobmob.com ),
- export their data to Google Maps / Google Earth or other mapping softwares,
- monitor in real time and afterwards the evolution of their performances,
- have a moving map software that can work with any raster map (calibration software provided to make your own map with any picture),
- have instant data (current/average/max speed), current/climb/descent altitude.
This application comes with its Windows Desktop companion to analyze and store your performances, calibrate your raster maps and manage your files library.
What do I need to run it?
To run BikeDashboard PDA, you need:
- A Windows Mobile 5 (or >) Professional device. Professional means that you need a touch screen device. A version for Smartphone will be designed later on.
- A GPS receiver,
- MS .Net Compact Framework 3.5 installed on your device.
For the Desktop software, you need a MS Windows OS (
2000 / XP / Vista supported), with .Net Framework installed.
Awesome? So how much does that cost?
Well... nothing!
This software is a
freeware.
