I was one of the SERO buyers that bought the first crop of Touch Pros (Oct 0  , and I had no issue of upgrading in the store. I simply told them I am eligible for my discounted upgrade and I wanted a new phone, NOT a new plan. I had to renew my contract, which was not as straight forward as it should have been (per the employee), but a simple call into Sprint and I was on my way.
