Unless the experts here or over @ XDA figure out how to unlock the GSM part to be able to Roam to GSM inside the USA.

Considering the Sprint Touch Pro has the fm radio and it is disabled I don't think they will have much luck unlocking the GSM for USA roaming say on AT&T or T-Mobile.

I could be wrong that might be one of the first hacks done, So please don't flame just posting to help people out and not get them confused about the Way the GSM radio is suppose to work on the CDMA versions of the TP2
QFT

I'm not sure they'll be easily able to hack the GSM to work in the US though. That could get Sprint and/or HTC in some pretty hot water since the device isn't licensed to be used in the US on GSM frequencies (FCC only approved CDMA).
