I am having a hard time believing that you cannot find any information on flashing you device & getting GPS to work. There are daily posts in this forum on people GPS problems.
I wouldn't jump in & start doing the aGPS hack. I don't think that it is necessary as I never did it.
As for flashing your ROM extract the files & run the ROM Update Utility. Connect your phone via activesync or WMDC which ever is your case.
