Re: Undoing Key Lock on Boot to Allow Hard Reset

hmm. i just enabled simple pin on my device, and attempted to bring up the hard reset prompt.. and voila, there it was ?

are you letting go of the power button ? while its off, hold OK and vol down, then continue holding them down and start holding down the power button. while holding all three keys, after a few seconds, it should prompt you without ever actually booting up..

I completely shut down (hold in pwr btn for several seconds until i get the shutdown warning). then, vol down & OK btn held in, i power up...it comes to the password logon screen to boot up. well that is very difficult to hold those two buttons in while i'm typing in a password, but i try and it goes about its day, and never asks me for the vol up btn.

So i thought to try and remove the key lock but the checkbox is greyed out. Now I remember when I synced up with my OWA for outlook emails for work, i got a message saying something about a security protocol requiring me to "lock" my phone. I don't mind this, but now, i can't uncheck that box. How do I remove that security lock that was enforced by the external party?

Thanks,
