Video Converter For Windows Mobile Phone

What is everyones recommendation of software to take a video file and convert it to a good windows mobile video format? Also what format looks good and is a decent file size for windows mobile phone. If you could recommend free software that would be the best. I am trying to take videos that I am recording on Windows Media Center and putting them on my phone. Any other software that people might think is beneficial let me know. Thanks

Try SUPER. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html . The website and the interface are ghetto (it's so hard to find the download link on that site), but it is a great program for converting video. It has a built in profile for Windows Mobile, but the bitrate is pretty low. I usually use that profile but raise the bitrate quite a bit.

Even if you get a player that can play your uncompressed (or compressed for viewing on a TV or big screen), it would be silly to put that on your phone and waste space.

Re: Video Converter For Windows Mobile Phone

hey i use pocketdivxencoder it converts almost any format video into pocket pc format even psp ipod and a few others you can adjust the video size to fit your screen exactly and best of all it shrinks it. i had the full scarface movie on my phone and it only took up about 550mb. best of all its free. nothing like freeware to expand the love of pocket pcs. try it trust me its the one your looking for.here is the link.

? I put the same sized files for full movies on my IPOD.... and the better the quality of the movie (usually means more space) the better they look on the TV out feature for the Touch Pro.

Not so silly IMO.

And before you ask... I travel to places that do not necessarily have English TV programming, so for evenings when I wind down after work I like to watch movies. It's nice to be able to load 5 or 6 movies on a Memory card and carry TV out cables, rather than carry DVDs with me, or an additional device like my IPOD.

Re: Video Converter For Windows Mobile Phone

Greetings. I personally think spb mobile dvd is awesome. I've been using it for the past 6-8 months and it's been worth every penny ($25.00). Honestly though, i've never used anything else, so i really can't compare. I just know it's converted everything i've thrown at it, and for me its fast. For example, when i converted "American Gangster" which started as a 1.25gb file, it took 20 minutes and brought it down to 415mb, optimized for tcpmp. It's very simple to use and give you plenty of options to suit your personal tastes. I'm pretty sure there's a free trial with it, so it can't hurt to give it a try. Like i said, it's all i've ever used, so if you have any questions, shoot me a pm and i can help you out. dschoenike
