Not so silly IMO.

And before you ask... I travel to places that do not necessarily have English TV programming, so for evenings when I wind down after work I like to watch movies. It's nice to be able to load 5 or 6 movies on a Memory card and carry TV out cables, rather than carry DVDs with me, or an additional device like my IPOD.
