how can I use my phone as a router?

I found the htc wifi router app and the comm manager.
I got both to instal successfully on my phone but when I try to open up the Mobile Wi-Fi Router, it asks me if I want to set up a new internet connection but won't let me click yes or no.
My phone showed a warning message saying that this program was made for an older version of windows and may not display properly.
I am using the htc snap and the windows version is 6.1
If that is the problem how do I downgrade my phone to an older version of windows mobile and if that is not the problem I would like some assistance in knowing what the problem is.
Thank you

Re: how can I use my phone as a router?

google "wmwifirouter free v.91" is the last freeware before it went to a paid version.

this is far more better then htc wifi router with a lot of features, give it a shot hope it works out for you.

Re: how can I use my phone as a router?

I have the program now, but whenever I try to open it i get a warning message saying
"WARNING

WMWifiRouter could not detect your wificard!

You are probably using a device on which wifi must be turned on to access it's configuration

Turn on your wifi and press check again"

And at the bottom it gives me two options to select.... "connect" or "options" but when I select one, nothing happens
