I can't find anything about "direct push". Where would I find it? I've checked everything and I can't find it. This site is great. thanks for any help given.

Applied these changes to my 700wx. After about 18 hours I was down to about 69%. So I would clearly state that these tweaks do make a difference.

I did notice that when I turned on my BT headset after making these changes that my 700wx asked me if I wanted to accept this connection, blah, blah, blah...and had me enter a password.

Anyways...good work on finding these tweaks.

late,
Coz

I think I found it. It has something to do with EMAILS. I haven't programmed the EMIAL stuff yet so it should not be an issue until I do. And I disable it when I do. Thanks anyway...

Direct Push is toggled on and off in your comm manager. it's only used for MS Exchange server and Outlook. Absolutely not necessary even if you do have outlook set-up and it eats a ton of battery since it's always checking the server for new messages.

Have not had any issues with my BT devices after these hacks, so it could be something else causing that reconnect confirmation.

Slightly better battery mileage for me. But two days later when I turned on my BT for the first time since the hack, I found that it had disabled my connectivity. The icon on the control panel had an X through it and there was no blue blinking light. (No other hacks, additions, or changes in between.) When I restored all the registry entries back to 1 values, my BT came on immediately. FYI, I'm still using stock rom on my 6700.

I'd say these tweaks improved my battery life by about 25% or more but not much more. It definitely helps... I've went several days with these tweaks enabled and disabled. I also noticed it depends on how your service is in the area you're in. If you have poor service, these settings seem to kill your battery faster. I've studied these settings for days before comming to this conclusion. If anyone has any questions, please ask.

Anyone else have the EVDO connection stop after using these? I see every once an a while that my data connection arrows are white and programs will not connect (WP, PIE, etc). Tried using the Comm Manager to disconnect, to no avail. Only fix is a soft reset.

Anyone else?

I didn't notice this with my Mogul although I don't have EVDO here. It's only 1x so maybe it only does that with EVDO connections.
