Palm Treo 800w and Windows 7

I'm not sure if someone already made a thread on this, but I upgraded to Windows 7 and, of course, all of a sudden my phone wouldn't sync with my computer. I read that I had to reinstall the Mobile Device Center, so I did, but it still didn't work. At first it said the driver installed successfully. Then it started trying to install the driver again and it said that the driver was not installed correctly. Now when I hook the phone up to my pc it does nothing. Idk if it's a phone issue or a pc issue or if windows needs to go back to the drawing board with 7 but is there anyone that can help me out?

Re: Palm Treo 800w and Windows 7

mine had issues but with XP where it was loking for drivers instaling drivers and not finding the phone. i rebooted the phone tried changing the start-settings-usb to pc to not enableadvanced network functionalty. rebooted the pc etc etc etc. finally the pc found the phone again. i took the phone to the repair shop and they had the same issue. i got it swapped out for a new one and this ones been fine. i blame it on the cheesy micro usb connector.... not sure if your having the same issue but i thought id share in case. good luck.

Re: Palm Treo 800w and Windows 7

This should probably be in the Treo 800w forum. Have you tried installing the USB and Battery Charging Update?

Re: Palm Treo 800w and Windows 7

Sorry for a mild necro post, but I wanted to clear this up as others may find it as well.

Windows 7 as of RC1 isn't working with many WM6 devices, and I'd assume earlier models as well. Apart from this, W7 has been fantastic, but I've connected a Treo 800w (my main), HTC Touch Pro, HTC Diamond, VT5600, VT6800, Blackjack 2... and a few others, all are un recognized by the OS.
