Request: Audio Portal (pandora.com)

IMO, one of the best reasons to have a data package on the 6700 was for music streaming....that is if those music sites didn't use frigg'n flash to do it (i.e. pandora.com and yahoo's launchcast). So I was curious if there was a streamlined way to have a PC load a site and then be able to just stream the audio to your mobile device? The only interface that would be needed would be a reload option for the times the player stops playing and asks for some user interaction.

I have requested a couple times that pandora make something that would work for our devices (a java version even) and they said they did not have plans to make a mobile (i.e. non-flash) version.

Any info on any projects or programs capable of this would be very much appreciated.

there is a mobile version of flashplayer you can install on adobe's site, also my custom ROM has it built in..... im not sure if the version of the one for the mobile phone will work for those sites however...

there are alternatives to that, take a look at www.orb.com

it lets you setup your HOME computer to stream your personal audio collection to the phone, it works GREAT and the interface is SIMPLE.

have fun

Yeah, Pandora is using the latest Flash version 9 I believe, so the flash version for PPCs doesn't work.

Yeah, I have Orb set up as well, but I prefer Pandora's music collection to my own. What I mean is that I can hear some music I don't already have in my collection.
