Re: {{First look at the new}}{{ SPB Mobile Shell 5.0}}
I just wonder how this will run on anything less than the HD2. That and what kind of impact it will have on system resource and battery usage.
My biggest peeve with Sense is that is uses so much memory which lowers my battery life. So I can only imagine a flashy 3D UI to totally bog down the device. Honestly, I just want a clean UI. Something simplistic that is functional. Titanium is decent, but it does have the same functionality that Sense delivers. So call me spoiled but I just can't stomach it. Windows Phone 7 kind of fits this bill but it's something my TP2 will never "stably" be able to appreciate. All I want is information in a pleasant easy to read and process package. My desktop attests to this, I've got GeekTools on my Mac and have LOADS of info spread across my wallpaper in large font. The most important info is the largest and it's not cluttered or disorienting. I personally, am not fond of a single mobile OS or shell out there on the market right now. So disappointing. :/

Re: {{First look at the new}}{{ SPB Mobile Shell 5.0}}
I have used SPB MS 3, 3.5 for a few years now. I just recently upgraded my device to a tp2 and was quite disappointed at the speed of ms3.5 on my device.
The new SPB MS 5 is said to have a new engine running behind it. I personally have been begging to help test it. but no avail. So patience is the route I am stuck with. go figure. |
