Re: Manila TV Tab - Need help adding stations

The only channel that works consistently is MSNBC, it's a real TV stream because I compared it to what was on my cable, it was the exact same program. I suspect that this was MSNBC's mobile broadcast that is being provided to mobile TV content providers, such as FloTV. That service shows MSNBC as one of its channel offerings. Near as I can tell, Manila TV is NOT authorized. In other words, we are not supposed to be getting free TV. Manila TV simply intercepts the streams going to the pay TV services, such as FloTV and MobiTV. Anyway, when I read up on Manila TV it appears that there is a way to enter the stream addresses into the program, but it's not all that easy because you have to do it in the registry. Actually, it may be easy but I have not had time to figure it out. One way would be, I suspect, is to contact the cooked ROM chef and see if for a donation he or she can set up the channels (since it is part of the OS) and/or provide a tutorial on how to do it. In my travels I did find what looked to be like a stream TV channel guide that provided the URL or scripts for TV worldwide. I don't know if that is the solution to setting up the channels, or not. You can check over at XDA. The developer of Manila TV has a thread and slowly but surely it's revealed how to set it up. But those are experts over there and I can't tell what they are talking about. Let me know what you find out and I too will update herein. |

Re: Manila TV Tab - Need help adding stations
I don't have 10 posts that will allow me to insert links, so I can't post the stuff I have found.
I'll send you a PM and see if that works. Note: This is all cryptic, I suggest you look at my links for better information. Last edited by ItsMichaelNotMike; 01-04-2010 at 08:21 PM. |
