midNIGHT ROM v5.2 Journaling ON EXT4 or RFS (BYOR) 4/09/2011

I would like to thank everyone for all the support I have received over the months I have been developing this ROM. Thank you all for taking on the challenge or spreading Autism Awareness. I can't explain what your support means to myself and my family.
Unfortunately, I'm announcing the end of the development for the midNIGHT ROM. It has become necessary to auction my Epic on ebay. I just got it replaced and haven't even activate it yet. My goal is to hopefully get enough to get our van fixed....again. We have MANY appointments and therapies for both my wife and kids that are out of town and on hold until I get the van back up and running. Emmett's speech therapy has been cut in half by insurance. His specialists have been trying to get him in 2 times a week as he has mod to severe language ad speech impairment. Now they won't even cover 3 times a month.

While I wish there was another way I feel good about being able to at least do this. I hope to still contribute to this community and really hope to be back at it at some point in the near future.
Thanks again to EVERYONE for ALL the support for both this ROM and most importantly Autism.

I want to say a special THANK YOU to ALL my testers. You have been AWESOME.

Thanks to the Bonsai team for everything and especially Randy for all his help and guidance.
Thanks to k0nane for being...well..k0nane. Thanks for being SO supportive and such a great example to this community.

If anyone is in the market for an Epic 4G. Check out my auction here. I have listed a BUY IT NOW price with a TON of EXTRAS. I'm also donating 10% of whatever I get to Northeast Ohio Autism Group.

Thanks again for everything and I'll be in touch. You can follow me at www.lostandtired.com. I may have some pretty big news in the near future. You can also follow me on twitter @lost_and_tired as well as @midnight_rom (for future announcements)

FYI: There is a HOW TO video for installing this ROM along with CW3 on my blog as well. Look on the Android Development page. Please keep in mind that the ROM being flashed in this video is not the v2.7 but the process is the exact same. Also I skipped the wipes prior to flashing to save time.

I'm in agreement with Darren on this. I'm preferring journaling on too.

Journaling basically lets the phone keep a "journal" of the data, and what the phone is doing, kinda like an instant image or backup. You sacrifice some speed, but it's more stable and reliable, and helps protect your data from getting corrupted.

Re: midNIGHT ROM v5.2 Journaling ON EXT4 or RFS (BYOR) 4/09/2011

ok, im a little confused with the step process as listed. step #3 says, "Copy midNIGHT ROM v5.2 (BYOR Edition) to your SDcard and boot into recovery." then we proceed to step#4 and "Download and extract the midNIGHT ROM Extras v5 or midNIGHT ROM v5.2 Standard Upgrade.zip to your SDcard." im thinking that i should do the "boot into recovery" part stated in step#3 as step#5. what am i missing or not understanding here?
