NEW VERSION....(10 December 2009) S2U2 v2.20

A couple cool additions here, in-call lock has been highly requested, and (my favorite) the ability to adjust volume when locked!!!

S2U2 (Slide2Unlock2) is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screensaver while you don't use your device. It has a CallerID function (but it may not work on some devices, so try it before use it daily); S2P control plugin; and volume control. S2U2 shows many system information even without unlocking and highly customizable.

Prerequisition:
- WM5 Phone or WM6/6.1/6.5 Professional devices
- free RAM: at least 1M for QVGA/WQVGA; 4M for VGA/WVGA
- free storage space: at least 2M for QVGA/WQVGA; 4M for VGA/WVGA

Changes of v2.20
- removed the option "lock the device after any phone call when Bluetooth is on".
- added option "InCall Lock" (S2U2 Settings -> General)
either don't lock the device during a phone call; always lock; or only when Bluetooth is on.
if CallerID is enabled, connected time of the call will be shown on the lock screen.
- added option to release the Volume Control key lock, i.e. adjust the volume even it's locked. (S2U2 Settings -> Phone)
- fixed an occasional issue that Dotfred's TaskMgr would hang when running S2U2 since v2.x.
- fixed the small volume bar of the VGA/WVGA S2P control plugin.
- fine tuned the CallerID and S2U2 Settings for HTC Pro2 & HD2.
but it's not recommended to use the CallerID together with the WM built-in lock.
- a few minor bugs fixed.

Reset Unread Count
If your device has suspicious unknown count of any unread email/vmail/sms/mms, use this file (ResetUnreadCount.cab) to reset them.

Lock/Unlock Sound Sample

Volume Control shortcut
If you need to manually map a key to invoke the new Volume Control, extract the S2U2-VC.LNK from this file (s2u2-vc.zip) & transfer it to your device's \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\S2U2 (for Non-English device, it varies), then use any key mapping software (some devices have it come along) to map this S2U2-VC to your preferred key.

But it assumes S2U2 is installed at \Program Files\S2U2. You may read HERE for how to create a LNK file.

Way to keep your eyes peeled. Good find. I was wondering when they'd do something along these lines.

Re: NEW VERSION...3 November 2009 S2U2 v2.10 - battery

deadwrong03...I plan on installing ASAP (just found out about it and I am at work), I will let you know how my battery usage is on it, but I haven't had any power usage issues with any of the recent versions, so I don't know if my report will help too much.

Re: NEW VERSION...3 November 2009 S2U2 v2.10 - battery

The readme for the new version says:
- added to show Caller/Sender pics on the missed call/message pop-up.
- added to show account name on the email pop-up.

I'm sure I'm missing it, but I can't find where to enable these options in the S2U2 settings. Could someone please point me to them?

Thanks.

Re: NEW VERSION...3 November 2009 S2U2 v2.10 - battery

I'm pretty sure if you have the message preview enabled (in settings under Preview and enable the appropriate preview notifications) that the pictures/accout will show as the message is shown on the screen (did that make sense?).

Thanks. I had thought it was necessary to turn those options on.

Re: NEW VERSION...3 November 2009 S2U2 v2.10 - battery

Hope it works now!! A_C just posted a 2.11 beta patch for the S2A not working, and the GIF wallpaper error. So far all seems to work well!!!!

I do hope that this version is way better on the battery, especially for my Sprint Touch Pro2
