CFAY CustomRUU for Treo Pro
Hi, in anticipation of the unlocker, here is an Rom Update utility I patched for flashing custom roms on the Treo Pro. I changed task 28 to task 32 to prevent hard resets on accident. Use this for flashing all custom roms on the CDMA Treo Pro! Tested and WORKS for sure on Sprint.

You can download the RUU below, if RapidShare doesn't work!

I promised custom roms for the Treo and I meant it!

Chris, may sound like a newbie question, but..... what's a ROM Update Utility? At 1.5 MB it surely ain't a custom ROM.

Do you mean this is just for using when someone does get a custom ROM? Is this the unlocker from cmonex? Or, are we still waiting on that before we get custom ROMs?

No such thing as an ignorant questions, only ignorant answers . The RUU, Rom update Utility, is used in flashing custom roms, the stock will not work with custom roms, so what I did is patch this one to work with custom roms.

Awesome! So where do we get the windows mobile 6.5 from?? Or is it still being worked on??

Not currently, im on Sprint (CDMA). This unlocker is CDMA only, please dont use it on GSM.

Wait, so that RUU actually bypasses the CID check, not the SPL? I wasn't aware that this was possible since way back when.

I'm whipping up a custom splash to test it out.
