Question Help for HTC Home w/ 6 tabs

I had the 6 tab version running beautifully on my Touch that has a JD Hybrid ROM running on it. Then, I tried to reinstall a version of the Touchflo...didn't work, wouldn't even come up. Tried some other cabs of the Touchflo...nothing. I know I had the necessary processes running too.

SO HERE's what I need to know...either:
a) How do I get my 6th tab back, or
b) Is there a sure-fire way to get Touchflo working on a custom ROM?

Thanks.

Re: Help for HTC Home w/ 6 tabs

You need to do a registry edit.

found this at XDA Developers

"to get the sixth tab working, you have to delete a quickdial string in your registry:
HKLM/Software/OEM/MASD/Quickdial

delete the whole "Quickdial" , not only the DWORD"

Then check in HHC to make sure all tabs you want are selected - save and exit then soft reset.

Re: Help for HTC Home w/ 6 tabs

I'm running 5067 Kitchen ROM and didn't have Quickdial under HKLM/Software/OEM/MASD. I have all six tabs enabled in HHC but only get five on the today screen. The Music tab is missing.

Re: Help for HTC Home w/ 6 tabs

the HTC Home plugin that tantrum829 posted is Duttys' custom HTC Home plugin. that should do the trick. I never used the HHC before, did it by hand, but I remember to change the default media player it uses you can change this key here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Music Plug-In
dword value of 1 gives you Windows Media Player, value of 2 gives you HTC Audio Manager. or...maybe its the OTHER way around. like i said....been a LONG time since I used it.

Hi Jim. Are you using the Kaiser version? If so uninstall it and then install these ones. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=8134&page=8

Thanks for the tip, however the HTC home in that link locked up my Mogul with the newest HTC Home cooked into a 5067 Kitchen ROM. Soft resets and power offs couldn't get it back. Oh well, it's time to cook another kitchen anyway.
