Is Titan 3.35 or 3.37 radio better? GPS help!

I know everyone been talking about 3.35 radio, but the Alltel rom comes with 3.37 radio
And since 3.37 radio seems to be newer, is the 3.37 radio better?
I am on 3.35 right now, using the GPS rom cooked by the kitchen. My phone is Sprint.
And my GPS just cannot work. I used every possible method stated in this forum and nothing works.
It works sometimes, and sometime doesn't (no matter what I do) I don't see any possible patterns to when it works and when it doesn't. patterns I look for interms of reset, standby, use for long period of time, inside, outside, just applied the GPS hacks (things I listed below)...etc... it seems like the GPS just works sometimes, and sometimes it will NOT WORK even I reflash and redo everything! (I cooked about 15 times already)

Some of the GPS hacks I did and found from this forum includes: 1,2,3 method, DLLs, register AGPS from 2 to 4, GPSEnable, GPS viewer, GPSQuick, and others that I don't remember. basically Everything!

Please help.

Aite, since no one ever replied my post, I just give what I found out today.
I am a happy man after what I went through in my previous post above.
This is confirmed by flashing 3 times, hard reset 2 times and soft reset and standby a dozen times JUST on my own sprint Touch and each time the GPS is working right away within 10-30 sec under the sky. Maximum of 8-9 Sat locked, and it works inside a concrete building as well.

What I did after everything I went through from my previous post.. I decided to start all over again.

So follow the following steps: (I did my g/f and friend's sprint touch afterward too, all works like charm!)
1) Flash to the Altel 3.37 radio. (from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24979) Step #6 File with "RUU_Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.04.671.2_Radio_4350H_ 3 .37.10_Alltel_NV2.00_PRL30008_0331_Ship_withSpecia lNBH.exe"
2) Then use the kitchen to cook a rom and flashed to my PDA.
3) After flashing, and get into the OS, copy the DLLs file provided in this link (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25407)-post #1 into your windows directory. COPY IT TWICE. The first time it will say warning about system rom and etc, after first time is copied, copy the DLLs into windows AGAIN, and this time, no more warning. (don't ask me why, don't say this is stupid! like I said above, I been trying for a week: flashing, and everything) This works for me from 2 hard reset and 3 flashing (in today) so I know it works EVERYTIME!
4) After the DLL is copied. copy this GPS_ENABLE execute (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25407) into the windows/startup folder.
5) after all the above is copied, do the aGPS flag regedit from 2 -> 4
6) now reset, I didn't reset or do other things inbetween the above steps, so don't.
--- you basically good to go ---
7) install GPSviewer or whatever program like Google map. ... but GPSviewer gives you an idea of what,how,when sat get lock.

Now, do whatever, reset or go into GPSviewer... go outside and watch those Sat get locked like crazy!

So wait are you using the 3.35 radio from the Titan or the Alltel 3.37 radio?

I wanna try this but I'm getting 5-6 sat locks already, outside only (takes around 30-60sec); so I dunno if I wanna mess that up, I already flashed 8 times this weekend (I kept perfecting my version of a Sprint OEM ROM ).

I could still give it a go later on tonight.

Now I'm even more excited and impatient about getting GPS and EVDO Rev. A but unfortunately, I'll have to wait until I finish setting up my workstation computer before I can even attempt flashing or cooking anything.

Once I do though, I'll let you all know.

I stopped playing with my phone at around 6PM. got to get back to work. I sat in the basement about 2 stores of concrete on top of me. 3.5 hrs later. I just go outside, turn on my Google, and get 4 sat within 10 sec.
This is my first time after I flashed with 5-8 different roms, then cook myself over the weekend and last week.

I updated the above post to include which radio I used currently.
I tried all others, and I never get anything working or unstable with GPS, except this time!

Holy crap! I've never seen 7 sat locks occur within 10sec, and they were all strong, thats good to have, thanks dude

I don't believe ANY changes or different ROMs or DLL's gets more Sats than another. It will vary by location, time, weather, view of sky.

Different Radios, and GPS DLL's, setting GPSMode=4 may get a faster lock by getting GPS assist working. But with or without assist. It won't get more Sats, it just may get them sooner.

Once you get 3 Sats it's up to your GPS reception and time of day how many more you'll get.

For me the biggest plus of the 3.35 Radio is it's Sprint Radio and I'm a Sprint User and as cell phone it sems to be a little more stable. I tried both Radio twice.

The biggest recent break through is new GPS DLL's (see sticky) and GPSMode=4

It's very hard to tell if one radio vs the other radio helps GPS Lock or get more Sats. You'd have to run one of each side by side for couple days to be really sure. It's just too variable.

I know what you mean but I did try the GPS like 5 min before doing all the steps here, and I had 4 sats locked, and then after the steps, I had 7 in the exact same spot outside.

Just tried it again and I had 7 again. Ill try it on my way to work tomorrow, GPS signal usually gets lost at around one spot on the route if this holds in that spot, then I'm good to go

Like I said.. .. what I listed there are like not making too much sense, but after I ran out of hopes and out of ideas, and I just start all from scratch and keep on flashing.. I found this combination out.
Whatever it is, it works for me 100%, and I am happy now.

im not sure what you mean theres no such word in that thread, or program is gps_enable a dll or a program?
