Different Radios, and GPS DLL's, setting GPSMode=4 may get a faster lock by getting GPS assist working. But with or without assist. It won't get more Sats, it just may get them sooner.
Once you get 3 Sats it's up to your GPS reception and time of day how many more you'll get.
For me the biggest plus of the 3.35 Radio is it's Sprint Radio and I'm a Sprint User and as cell phone it sems to be a little more stable. I tried both Radio twice.
The biggest recent break through is new GPS DLL's (see sticky) and GPSMode=4
It's very hard to tell if one radio vs the other radio helps GPS Lock or get more Sats. You'd have to run one of each side by side for couple days to be really sure. It's just too variable.

I know what you mean but I did try the GPS like 5 min before doing all the steps here, and I had 4 sats locked, and then after the steps, I had 7 in the exact same spot outside.
Just tried it again and I had 7 again. Ill try it on my way to work tomorrow, GPS signal usually gets lost at around one spot on the route if this holds in that spot, then I'm good to go
