Will Froyo give us an extra 256 Megs?
I was on this website.

Now if you scroll down to this section below..

2.6.32 kernel upgrade
HIGHMEM support for RAM >256MB
SDIO scheduling and BT improvements

Now the EVO has 512 Megs of RAM, so does this mean that since we have an
earlier kernel, does that mean we are not utilizing the extra 256 Megs?

That means theres additional support for phones with more than 256mb

Maybe im not being clear. It does not say anything about giving extra memory. It says there is upgraded support (meaning the devices will work better) for devices with more than 256mb of memory. Devices with less than 256mb wont see the upgraded support.

Some folks here have had the chance to put a hacked version of Froyo. If you have had this chance, have you seen the additional RAM available?
