Opera 10 Beta2U Repacked - (No Prompts/Faster/Defaults/Rotation)

Here is what you get with the repacked version:

• No user interactions during install - better for UC / XDAUC / Sashimi installs
• No speed loader - seems to actually slow opera down (judge for yourself)
• Sets 10 as your default browser
  • I have been told this only works on 6.5+
• Sets file associations for htm, html, mht, mhtml, wgt, wml, wmlc
• Adds Opera 10 class to the gSensor white list so screen rotation should work - HTC ONLY

Per request:

• Ninja Duck No Opera Rotate 1.1.cab - Removes HTC g-Senser rotation for Opera 9 + 10 (seems to only work on some builds) - see my comments below.

The no rotation cab removes the following registry keys if they exist:

Installed the CAB and rebooted and it is still rotating:

Make sure you have dotfred task manager and Mortscript installed (many custom ROMS already do) and follow the instruction for exporting your registry for me. If you are not willing to do this, don't ask for help.

Attached is a zipped MortScript that uses the DotFred task manager built in to export the gSensor registry.

1. Download and Unzip the file: Click Me
2. Copy HTC Sensor Reg Export.mscr to your phone and run it.
3. A file \\My Documents\Backup_Registry_YYYYYMMDD.reg will be created on your phone.
4. Zip and upload the file back to the this thread.

Alternatively, you can use Total Commander or any other registry tool to back up the following registry key:

NEW INFO: For some reason, disabling rotation does not stop Opera 10 for Rotating:

Even setting the following does not seem to stop it on 23518 builds.

Yea thats cool if you speeded up opera 10 ,its always geten stuck also its geting screwed up on page uploads containing animation pictures ?

i would love it if u could blacklist opera 10 2u to not rotate, i hate that so much!! i only want it to rotate when i open the keyboard that is it, not everytime i pull out my phone from my pocket

Per your requests, I have added a cab to the first post that removes the HTC rotation settings for Opera 9 + 10. This is only for the HTC application. If you are using any other application for rotation, it will not work.

What exactly do you mean by this? At first I thought it was the QuickStart shortcut that goes into \Windows\Startup, but on checking the CAB, it's still there. I'm assuming it's something else then?

One warning:

installing the betaU version breaks the ringer in some ROMs (especially Juicys)

The earlier beta is fine, it is just the *U* version that messes it up.
