If i am understanding you correctly your Sprint Home Plugin no longer takes you to Live Search, correct? It's doing the same thing to me.

You are going to have to edit the file "ql_skin_p.xml" in your Windows directory. Currently the file points the Live Search button to "\Program Files\Live Search\Live Search\Live Search.exe" What it should point to now is "\Program Files\Live Search\LiveSearch.exe".

Move the file over to your computer, open it in a notepad app, make the change noted above, then send it back to your phone. Hope that helps!

Try going to start/ settings/menus/checked the box live search/ soft reset..

how exactly do you move it over to my computer. i found the file that you are talking about but not quite sure how to move it to my computer and then put it back in the windows folder. thanks

You can either tap and hold on the file and choose "Beam file.." to send it via Bluetooth, or connect it with a USB cable and click "Explore" on the Activesync window. Copy the file to your computer, edit it, then send it back to your phone the same way.

you have to edit

windows\ql_skin_l.xml
windows\ql_skin_p.xml

with a text editor and edit the path to the new Live Search program. save the files and copy back to windows directory and reboot the device.

Like I said, I think with the new version they tried to improve it by adding more features but unfortunately that made it worse. I thought it was really good like it was before, but some people on here claim it locks faster, I wasn't able to test it.

I know there were some problems with the speech not being recognized on previous versions but I tested the speech recognition on this version (the one provided by musicman) and everything works just fine.

If you want the added features I would install the new one, but if you can live with the old ones and don't need weather, news and I forgot which other one, then I would keep the old one.

To fix this go to your file explorer open the live search folder, make sure you have selected show all and cut all of the contents. Create another folder names Live Search inside of the original, open and paste your files. You will then need to change the Livesearch.exe file to Live Search.exe

Not sure why it does this, but I guess that is the path that the Sprint home link is looking for. PM me if this does not work

the problem with renaming the files is every time an update comes out your going to have to rename the files again. so it's better just to fix the problem at the core. the instructions are above.

When I go unzip the download, I get a file corrupted error on my pc and when I d/l to my phone zip cant even find it.
