Hey guys just ran the live search and got update prompt and downloaded the new live search version 3.0.3047.24749. Incuded 3 new features: Connections (news), Web search, and Weather.

crap! I downloaded it but didn't like it because now there is a vertical scroll bar since there are more buttons, I liked the simplicity it had before. Does anybody know where I can get the previous version? (as in the one that ccame in OMJ's revA/GPS ROM)

Odd...I just updated to the latest version and even though I have the icons for the new features it still scrolls left to right with the arrows.

i like the new one better, we now have weather! lol..an coz.. i think you still got an older version, the newer one actually does have a verticle scroll bar.. an i think gps picks up quicker because mine locked in like 3 seconds lol

thanks guys! Yeah, I guess I am a neat freak and I just don't like the 'look' of the new one, I did have the vertical scroll bar and could scroll with the buttons but I feel like the news thing and the weather is overkill... as in too many icons (reason why i didn't like the yahoo 2 Go! thing) I mean we already have weather on the HTC today screen, and i doubt i'll be getting my news off of LS. I didn't test the GPS lock on the new one, but if it locks quicker then I guess I'll deal with it, if it doesn't I'll keep the one musicman provided (I do only use it to look at movie times!).

Now, if Live search could have an option where you can choose which buttons you want that'd be sweet!

Whats the deal with the new "my collections" feature? is it supposed to be an RSS reader of some sort? and the flickr:latest photos?? what's up with that? is it some sort of geo tagging your pictures? i don't use flickr so i don't know if that's even an option. anyone?

Does this work on the stock rom? I seem to be having trouble opening the file.

i tried the update but now the link on the home screen doesnt the file work anymore. it says "the file live search cannot be opened..... can some shed some light on how to correct it
