IM App: Slick by Lonely Cat Games
http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=slick
http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?produ...obile_0_34.zip (latest version 0.34) ![]() Slick is a premature IM app, missing a few shines and polishes, but it has the potential to be a great one. It is fast, lightweight, and best of all, free! It supports away messages, file transfers, and multiple protocols. My biggest problem with it so far is not being able to send via enter key (you must click S on the toolbar). I hope they fix this in the future. Give this app a try! 11/24 EDIT: New version 0.34 fixes a few minor bugs. Still no option to disable ClearType. 11/19 EDIT: New version 0.33 fixes "Enter to Send" bug! I posted about the issue on their forums (http://www.lonelycatgames.com/forum/...pic.php?t=4859). It seems to be the big deal breaker here. I also wish they had a Today plugin or something, that would be really nice. I also noticed that it can't initiate its own connection, kind of like AIM 2.0, you have to run IE or something to get a connection going before it will connect.

thanks for the tip, Looks good for no $. I had some difficulty with the Touch keyboard but will keep trying it out. Got on line fast so the app seems good.
I also did not need to initiate a data connection, it worked on its own. Yes, I also needed to use the S but it is ok for now |

I've been using the program all day and it is definitely a lot slicker than the AIM 2.0. Just a faster response to typing and an easier feel to it. I don't feel like it is sucking up a don of my memory or making my phone about to crash. I like it a lot. I'd probably throw down a few dollars for it.
