How do you unlock the samsung saga?

If we are going to start making Roms for it it needs to be unlocked.

Previously you would call verizon and they would provide you with a code that would unlock the sim. This new update may have just done it for everyone (glancing at the copious options offered in new menus). The code seems to be different for each saga, if we could collect a few sets of data we may be able to generate our own codes - but verizon seems pretty willing to unlock it per request.

I believe the op is in search of a solution much like the htc unlock we used to run on our Q's maybe it will work maybe it wont. I guess i can go test it on my saga since ive already hosed my gps connection and really want a fix for it

I just ran this and it looks to have worked, i must say that i was already able to add .reg files and do some hacks to the saga using resco registry but hadnt really messed with anything in there since i first install spb ms3 so i cant really say if it did what it did on the q
