how to get BT car stereo to start VoiceDial

We've got a Clarion CX609 car stereo in my father in-law's vehicle. It has BlueTooth and we've got it paired so that he can talk through it once a call is made. But, how do we get the stereo to wake up the phone through BT and launch the built-in voice dialer so that he can initiate calls without having to push buttons on the phone itself? This works perfectly on my HTC Imagio with a Pioneer stereo, but required a registry tweak on my HTX Apache with a Jabra headsret. What's the deal with the Omnia - can it be made to work?

Re: how to get BT car stereo to start VoiceDial

I have a Sony bluetooth car stereo and was playing with BT last week. It's kind of quirky, there's inputs for both BT phone AND BT audio. When mine's all paired up, and input set to BT Phone, I can push the "Phone" button on the remote and it will accept voice command. I think there's a button on radio head for same.

Also works when Sony input on BT audio and phone rings, can answer with phone button. I don't beleive can initiate phone call without switching input to BT Phone.

Worked similar before with Motorola/VZW W755.
