Phone will randomly lock and not unlock

Got my wife a treo pro Saturday to replace her annoying centro. But the brand new phone will randomly lock and ask for the password to unlock. I was stuck for a while as neither of us set up the locking feature.

I tried all sorts of random combos (0000) and nothing unlocked it. Finally I reset it and it was fine. But a few hours later, it did it again.

She is having to reset it a handful of times and really hating her new phone.

Any ideas?

Doesn't sound random, are you sure she's not setting it? It sounds like there is a password set, and it's set to password lock in >1 hour.

yep, I held on to it and it did it to me. I just double checked and the "Prompt if device unused for" box is not checked. Everything else is greyed out...

I had the EXACT same problem. It would only occur when I'd be roaming however.

I could never figure out why it did that. A hard reset didn't fix it either.

I never set any password and it just appeared out of no where lol....

I tried googling the problem but it seemed like I was the ONLY one who had it.

You're not alone wavezero, but unfortunately idk the fix.
