google maps keyboard shortcuts

Hey all - first post on what so far as been an EXTREMELY useful site

I did some searching on this but could not find anything, apologies if I missed something....

In the google maps application, is there a hack that will force the keyboard shortcuts that bb users have. I and O for zoom in and out, 7 to toggle the traffic view, etc. Having a touchscreen is cool and all, but I like the option for a more "no-look" option the physical keyboard gives you.

any thoughts? along those same lines, anyone that has some good ideas of getting some one-handed kb shortcuts from the homescreen set up (a la blackberry) I'm definitely all ears.
