Enabling The GPS On An Alltel Treo Pro

I've been searching forums for about 3 weeks to find this. Finally found it last night. The post seemed very nonschalant. I don't know if I'm the only one that couldn't find the answer on my own or what. So I decided to post this just in case.

To enable access of the GPS to third party software on the Alltel branded Treo Pro go to

Start >Settings >Phone
Select the "services" Tab at the bottom, highlight the "location settings" and press the "get settings" button. finally scroll to the bottom of the page, select yes and press OK.

The only thing about doing this is you turn the location function from 911 only to always on. Not sure I like that but i"ll just toggle it on when I need it.

I hope this helps someone.
