800W Connecting to the internet automatically.

My phone keeps connecting to the internet automatically with no programs running in the background. I got skyfire installed and the netcf microsoft file. But nothing is running in the background that could get it to be forcing it to log on. Anyone got an idea of how to turn off these auto log ons? Its annoying cause it kills my battery really fast when im online for long. Anyone that can help please?

But that also turns of the phone portion.

I can't recall the settings to disable this. Did you set up any email accounts on your device. If so you may want to see if you have it set to automatically check for messages. Microsoft Live does this. You may also want to check and make sure the Automatic Updates is turned off. I never picked up any update using that feature.

Re: 800W Connecting to the internet automatically.

Settings / Phone / Data Settings / Uncheck - Allow connection to internet. That should do the trick.

Re: 800W Connecting to the internet automatically.

Flipphone ,you are correct in that if that is unchecked it will stop for awhile . I was having the same problem so i backed evrything up with microsoft my phone and did a hard reset following the instructions at this link http://pocketpccentral.net/help/palm/800w_reset.htm then reinstalled microsoft my phone and did a sync then the problem was fixed and have had no problems since
