I was able to do this to my 700wx , Changing the Welcome "Splash screen " that comes up after the PALM when phones rebooting ..

can anyone help me with this .. and if so why not get a thread of themes going for people to be able to use on there own to be able to switch when they like..

i did try changing the photo to welcomehead.96.png but didnt work like before ..

Re: Change Splash.Screen (Welcomehead)?

I think I've read a bit about this before and for some reason I didn't get real involved with it but I can't remember exactly why. I think it makes the phone pretty unstable and people were having troubles with the device locking up. I do know that you need to name your pic the same as whatever the name is for the standard welcome pic for this to even be able to work. I can't remember if welcomehead.96.png is the default name for it on the 800w.

you might want to try doing some searching in the 800w forums at treocentral.com. If there's an answer my bet is you'll find it there.

Well, the 800w is a very different beast from every other palm phone. Lots of people at treocentral have said the same thing about other tweaks they've made on their 800w's.
