Apps on Treo 700wx

So what do you all use on your Treo 700wx? I have one running on the Sprint network. My main non-voice usage is email and texting, but I also have become an addict of Astraware Solitaire, which I purchased through Pocket Express. That got me going on Pocket Express itself. This is a disturbing emoticon, no?

My best advice is to read through the Software Forum. You'll find a ton of applications that run on the 700wx. And poke around this forum too.

late,
Coz

Kind of depends on what you want to use your device for. If you're heavy into texting, then a threaded SMS app would be good. No matter what you use it for, a file management app, clean up app, and backup app app are absolute necessities.

Re: Apps on Treo 700wx

One thing i've noticed with Pocket Express is that it's load news feeds, weather a lot faster than when I browse for information on WAP portals like Yahoo.

Why is that?

Re: Apps on Treo 700wx

Probably because it's an application that download updates to the news feeds, weather etc. in the background. This is stored so that you don't have to rely on live network speeds to download content on the fly.

Especially if your in a slow spot.

Re: Apps on Treo 700wx

Good advice, mostly. I've actually become enamored of Pocket Express recently, mainly because I've been on the road and haven't had access to my normal web news. I've been able to get good financial and political news and feel like I'm keeping up. Something significant happens every day these days!

I find I'm reading it for the editorial and analysis, surprisingly. The columnists actually are helping me crystallize my thinking in a lot of ways.
