Curious about voicemail

When I get a voicemail it overides all other notifications, and dismiss doesn't work to clear, it shrinks down, but if I want to see the missed call notification or an email notification I either have to listen to the voicemail or clear it from phone settings. I use threaded SMS and that's the option that gets replaced when I hit dismiss. Also the "listen" button doesn't do anything when I push it. I have to hold the number 1 down to get my voicemails. I'm mainly wondering if this is others experience or if I have an issue. I don't use phone alarm and I can't think of anything else that could be interfering with VM. Thanks to anyone who responds.

I don't use the Thread SMS app, however, when I get a voicemail I have to listen to it for the notification to go away. I think this is by design.

I figured that, that's why it's taken me 2 months to ask about it. Pibe does it work when you use the left key to "listen"?

The left button works for me to listen to voicemail, however I don't think I've experienced this behavior before. Of course I don't get a lot of alerts so I don't know if it's happening to me.

Hmm well that's strange. When I press the "listen" button the only thing that happens is the notification minimizes.
