treo 700wx overclocking

just recently I purchased a treo 700wx and I love it so far. before this I had a 6700 and used xcpuscalar. I know the 6700 had a 416 processor in it and I was able to overclock to 624... I just tried the program on the treo and I am able to run at 624...that's awesome considering it has a 312... I was just curious if anyone else has tried this and what kind of results your getting...thanks

I had tried it but did not notice any speed difference. Maybe I should try it again.

I have the program as well and have only had the guts to go to 520 mHz. Its COMPETELY stable at that speed. Others have reported that it makes it freeze at anything higher. Figured better safe than sorry......

My 2 cents

624

yeah this is my second treo 700wx...the first one was only stable at 520...this one I've been running for four days at 624 with no problems. its real snappy at this speed...but if I try the next speed up it freezes so I think I will stay at 624.

I'm new at the whole overclocking thing... any side effects (besides freezing) or possible issues by OC'ing?

it will freeze it up and need a soft reset. just make sure you don't set xcpuscalar to remember the last speed so you don't get stuck on freeze everytime you reset.

Oh and one other thing..... I've noticed I have to give it a few seconds once programs are closed for it to scale down sometimes. If you dont it will hold the current speed when you turn off the screen. If its higher than normal then i think your just wasting battery in stand-by mode.

I just give it a sec and it goes from say 416 to 208 then hit the red button for stand-by...
