Manual Treo 700wx PRL update

I have been waiting for EVDO in my area for over a year now. Sprint finally signed a contract with nTelos in my area to provide EVDO services.

I have tried to get a PRL update to allow me to roam on those towers (as my other friends with sprint are able to), but every attempt has been unsuccessful.

What I have tried:
- Over The Air update by calling *2...says it is complete, nothing changes.
- Hard resets
- Updated my phone to Sprint 1.15 (this bumped my PRL from 20224 to 20227...not far enough)
- I have tried deleting my PRI profile and running the vision services setup again.

I have even tried to take it to a Sprint repair store, which told me their machine was down. The nearest one to me other than that one is 45 minutes away...I called them and they *assured* me that they know of no service centers that can do a PRL update. Now they are telling me that I should go out of state...what a great solution.

I'm really frusturated. I need PRL 20232 but I seem stuck at 20227.

Does anyone know of a way to install an updated PRL manually on a treo 700wx?

Would CDMA Workshop be of any use?

My currant prl is 40410 the Treo prl is different from the Mogul and some other devices. I got this prl via OTA update from Sprint. Is it possible, or should I say likely, the Customer Service Rep that helped you with your OTA update is a moron. I would call back and ask for an update and give the CS moron the number of the prl you want don't leave it up to him to decide.

Yeah, I've tried that about a dozen times.

Question: Can you get these updates while roaming? And if not, how can I tell if I'm roaming or not?

I have the 20232... and I just received it from sprint OTA on wednesday.

did i get the wrong one then? should i have the 40410?

No. 20232 is the latest for the Treo. I emailed e-care and had them flag my account the other day. It took two tries, but the update finally took.
