vewing animated .gif picture mail with sound possible?

One thing I can't stand is when people send me animated gif picture mail (jokes) with sound, and my $600 phone can't diplay properly, yet regular phones can. I think I once saved the picture and opened with a picture viewer program and I saw the gif, bu that's alot of work, not to mention I didn't get the sound. Any advice, or is it impossible because of sprint's mms system? Thanks....

i'm guessing either this is 1)noob treatment, 2)my question is confusing, or 3) no one knows. Im leaning towards number 1 though. All well. Great site though. This problem is one of the few things left to perfectionize my phone. (Previous 6700 owner).

I think it's number 3. I don't think I recall ever seeing an animated GIF with sound (I don't even know how that'd be done).

I also think the question is kind of confusing because how it's worded.

Most things on PPCs need a viewer since they are all stripped versions of the OS and cannot handle previewing all types of files.
