Temporary internet files taking up memory!!!!!!!

Anyone having this problem? Everytime Im on the internet thru my phone it seems to be collecting images from the websites I visit. One day I was browsing thru my phone checking all the folders I came across and I stumbled upon the "Temporary internet files" folder which had a bunch of junk saved in it. I knew I didnt need anything that was in it so I deleted everything. There are 4 folders that contain the "Temporary internet files".

To check your temporary internet files folder, click the start button then go to File Explorer, click on the Windows folder let it load then click on the Profiles folder. There should be a Guest folder in it. Click on it then go to the "Temporary internet files" folder. Click on the Content.IE5 folder. Look thru the folders and check the images that are in them I was surprised.

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the treo from saving the images. [/b]

There might be a way but I just have my temp files go to my storage card. You can clear out that stuff by using a product like MemMaid, SKTools, etc.

Every tweak I tried to disble cache didn't work. You just have to keep up on it, it can become HUGEEEE, you can use a memory tool, or you can delete cache straight from PIE's options

Same here, once a month or so I'll clear out the Temp Internet Files in pIE. (Menu > Tools > Options > Memory Tab > Tap "Delete Files") and I'll see a dramatic increase in my total storage memory, usually anywhere from 8-10 MB.

For this reason alone I am still wary of installing too many programs to main memory because I do alot of pIE surfing and the Temp Internet Files are memory hogs.

I really love this site. Heck with all of your help I might actually master this phone but I have a quick question. When I read this log I went to my temporary folders and saw all of the files that were stored. Are there any files that you need to keep in your temporary folders? I ask this because in one of my folders was a file (desktop) and when I tried to delete it it said that it might cause my device or one of my programs to no longer work correctly. Just need to know if I need to keep files like these or get rid of them as well. Thanks

I would use an app to erase your temp files, like MemMaid or SKTools, that way you'll never delete it anything you are not supposed to delete.

Yes, those apps have advanced cleaning utilities, including cookies.
