Automatic Birthday Appointments

I hope someone can help: When I had Windows Mobile 2003 on an Axim, any new contact that I added with a birthday would have a recurring birthday appointment set up for them once I synced the device. Now with the 700wx & ActiveSync 4.2, this is not happening anymore. Is there any way to get it to do that again without installing other programs?

really? I enter in b-day appointments under each contact and it pops up under calendar.
