Sprints HTC-6800 Prototype Seen! (and some specs inside)

One of our members was lucky enough to get a hold of a Sprint branded 6800 and got us some pix. You could read more here. Patiently waiting on them to release it to the rest of us, but until then it looks as follows......

just a few notable features:

Windows Mobile 5 AKU 3.3
qualcomm MSM7500 400 MHz processor
173.63MB of storage memory
48.54MB of Program memory

spring loaded keyboard - opens opposite direction of 6700
microSD - on the bottom between the mini usb port and IR port
collapsable stylus. - looks like this one will actually stay in the phone

keep in mind this is a prototype. the release device may have some differences.

Photos removed per request sorry guys u can still read more on the link above

More program memory (RAM) will draw more power, decreasing the battery life.

Personally I am happy with 64MB of RAM. I am glad they doubled the flash memory, but in this day and age of $30 4GB flash drives there's so reason they could not put that much inside these things.

I am confident it will either ship with WM6 and EV-DO RevA or will receive upgrades later this year.

Just need to wait for 4GB microSD cards.

Other good things:

-Internal Antenna
-Wifi 802.11g
-BT 2.0
-Better Keyboard Mechanism
-Thinner
-More hardware buttons
-Jog dial
-Caps/Alt indicator lights
-Higher res camera

Thanks for sharing. Between these pics and the Telus version pics, September can't come fast enough for me (rebate).

I'm all over this phone when it hits! My 6700 won't charge anymore due to a messed up USB port (probably from flashing over 20 times! LOL!). So I'll play the battery swap game for 1-2 months till it hits! I'm eligible for a $150.00 rebate in August!
