VZW Sucks @ Paperwork
Reporting that the FCC said late Tuesday that it received 266 applications to bid in the 700 MHz auction but is returning 170 as incomplete, the lead article in Communications Daily notes that the agency is extending to Jan. 4 the deadline for all applicants to wire their upfront payments to Mellon Bank. Reporting that applications for Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Alltel, Qualcomm, MetroPCS and others were found incomplete, the article notes that a Verizon Wireless official (unidentified in the article) said the company will ‘review what we need to do and complete an application by the specified time.
