Question Sprint to Finally Switch On gpsOne for its Windows Mobile Stable?

Sprint to Finally Switch On gpsOne for its Windows Mobile Stable?

Neat story for those who are on Sprint (sorry Verizon, maybe they're working on it too?)

And yeah, I wrote it, so I'm a little biased but I think it's good info for those who are confused and good info for those who own WM devices on Sprint.

Well, I'm a lot more confident that this is true after seeing that Touch info. Lets just hope we can use MS Live Search with it.

I sure hope so given that non-PPC users got a free MS Live Search app that works with their aGPS at no extra charge.

My friend has a Razor with Sprint I downloaded the app, as soon as you start it (as long as you have location services on) it automatically located our city and allowed for vicinity searches.

I know it really has nothing to do with our issues, but if they get it, why can't we, right?

Almost makes me wanna use the instore return to get one now. I think I'll wait it out. They also said that they are going to be correcting the problems with BT. With those things fixed it sounds like the mogul may just live up to half its price, lol.

Big correction:

Turns out the Mogul and Touch both have internal GPS antennas, contrary to previous speculation.

Read here for a summary and a photo from the FCC website:

Exclamation Moto Q q9c: First on Sprint with GPS

Looks like it's true folks.

Moto Q q9c, released yesterday, has GPS enabled right now. First reports suggest it works fine with Google Maps too

In terms of the extended battery, it adds a pretty big bulge in the back. I honestly don't like the bulge, BUT the added time is worth it in my opinion. I haven't had a good full day's worth of use yet, but as of now, I have not needed to charge the battery again. Normally after less than a day, I have to re-charge, but on the newer extended battery, so far so good.

So Moto beats HTC to the punch, who has TWO devices that can do GPS on Sprint but are disabled. Why didn't the Touch release with GPS enabled? Gah.

So who's getting one?
