Backlight

OK, I have had my droid now for about 1 day, and I am still figuring things out since it is a totally new experience for me. But what I wanted to know was if there a way to keep the backlight on while it is on external power? While at work I have it hooked to my computer so it will never lose its charge, but I would like for the screen to always stay on. I saw the setting where I can change how long it will stay on, but no option to keep it on. Now I obviously want it to go off when I am running off of the battery, but can is this something I can do?

Re: Backlight

Unfortunately the Droid doesn't keep the screen on when you're plugged into the computer. If you plug it into the wall it will keep the screen on always though. Since I almost always manually turn the screen on and off I just have it set to a high timeout.

Anyone else know of a way to "trick" the phone into thinking that charging via computer is the same as charging via the wall?

Did you select stay awake while charging in settings?
