FYI and Warranty

I just called the warranty replacement line to replace my phone. I was told that my new replacement phone would have 2.1 already installed on it. So if you call them to replace it be aware 2.1 is preinstalled.

Re: FYI and Warranty

Shouldn't be an issue with the 2.01 SBF file. Just flash with that and then use the rooted 2.1.

Re: FYI and Warranty

So far 2.1 isn't so bad for me. Only thing I am missing is my black title bar. Other than that I'm actually cool with it. Its a sad day when I don't want to flash roms anymore.

You don't miss the overclocking? That is the main thing that would miss. I was messing around with my friend's stock Droid the other day and it felt like a turtle compared to mine. Since I have been OC'd for so long, I can't go back to 550mhz.

Re: FYI and Warranty

I just got my phone and it has 2.0 on it. The phone Rep said it would come with 2.1 on it. Now I am torn on rooting it or not. To tell the truth I didn't think 2. 1was so slow. I don't miss the 5 screens at all. What I do miss is my metamorpho black title bar.

Re: FYI and Warranty

I've been running stock with helix launcher for awhile now. I haven't been really motivated to root again. Overclocking never really seemed that beneficial to me (my phone always got hot and seemed to drain my battery a lot faster). The only thing that I really miss is the tethering.
