Annoying Quirks

1. I can't seem to add a call while I'm already in one.
2. My directory doesn't sort by surname.
3. I can't shut down the 3g radio.
4. I can't listen to music on my blue tooth.
5. I must tap the map for a location even if I just looked it up.
6. I can't save a url and have the browser load it automatically when I tap it.

Darned nice phone though. Overall I really like it. Does anyone have any suggestions on the above?

Bill

Re: Annoying Quirks

I'd found a way to shut down the data if that's what you meant by the 3g radio.

You need either Better Cut (or Any Cut) installed:

Long press on the home screen.
Choose 'Shortcuts'
Choose 'Better Cut' (Or Any Cut if that's the case)
Choose 'Activity'
Select 'Data Call Settings'
Select an Icon, choose a name and select 'Create'

Then open the shortcut and it appears to take you to a menu that might be normally only accessible through some uber secret technician master code of awesome powerfullness.

But yeah... just uncheck 'Data Call Enabled' and that will cut off all data communication.

Hope this helps...

Confirmed SMS works too with it disabled.

What is the problem listening on your blue tooth? Are we talking blue tooth to your car deck or to blue tooth headphones? Those both sure work great for me. If you mean one of those one-eared headset thingies, I can't help you.

Where do you want to tap to load the browser with a URL? If from a home screen, you should be able to long-press, select Shortcuts, then Bookmark and choose one of your bookmarked URLS. Maybe I missed what you want to do.

Bluetooth phone and music work great for me. Are you sure you are paired correctly? It could be an issue with your bt device.

Re: Annoying Quirks

Mine is a one eared headset thingie. Plantronics 510. It used to work great with my Q although stereo was a challenge.

Thanks for the info on the bookmarks. That is a function I hadn't figured out yet.

Now I have an annoyance. When I hang up a call the screen always reverts to a call log. If I actually wanted a call log, I could get to it all by myself.

You sir, require "Not Call Log". It's an app in the market place for just that annoyance and it works perfectly.
