next Droid phone or iPhone? Opinions needed...

I was going to wait and get one of the bigger-screen (no slide-out keyboard) Android phones when they come out (I'm on Verizon). But now that iPhone is out for Verizon in Feb., I'm wondering if there are specific features/specs that the top-of-the-line phones will have that iPhone doesn't have? If I am to hold out for a Droid X SE or Bionic or somehting like that, what are the practical reasons to go that way?

Why get a 3G IPhone when there will be 4G Android phones by mid year?

yeah, 4G would be great. But I can't wait until mid-year - my Imagio is giving out, and I need to replace it soon...

Does verizon still offer the 30 day free trial? If not then just get android. The new 4g phones look awesome. Especially the dual core one from motorola.

Re: next Droid phone or iPhone? Opinions needed...

I always said that I would get an Iphone when it released on Verizon since I was getting really tired of the WM issues (slow, choppy videos etc) going all the way back to my 6800 and through to my Touch Pro 2.

I switched to the Droid X and am really happy with the device to the point that I really don't care much about the Iphone being released on Verizon anymore. My father has one through his work and when I hold/use his device the screen size alone turns me off. Once you get used to the bigger screen it's hard to go back to the smaller ones.

I'll probably wind up going with a dual core 4g android for my next device.

Re: next Droid phone or iPhone? Opinions needed...

I believe I'm in your exact same predicament. My Imagio power button died 2 weeks ago. I need to make a decison to get a replacement Imagio (my 5th), or get an Android, which is what I'd prefer.

I studied suitable phones, and decided the Droid X was for me, but after doing additional studies, I began to wonder if I might be better off waiting for Verizon to work the bugs out of the LTE and especially for the ROM's to be programmed to take advantage of duo core processors. The link below gave me additional reason to consider getting into another replacement Imagio (until it breaks in 3-4 months).

droid x 2! droid 3! inc 3! - Android Forums

I'm in a quandary about wheather to slide into a Droid X now, or whether to wait to move into a fancy Android duo core LTE phone once all the bugs are all worked out later in summer or early fall.
