Verizon "leather" case

I bought the VZ leather hard shell case that has the "kickstand" on it.

I loved it at first, it looks nice & fits well & the kickstand came in handy at times.

Today however, I noticed the "leather" was wearing off just from pulling it in & out of a belt case. The box it came in states it is an "impact resistant plastic cover wrapped in leather".

Well, I can now state two things.

1. it is definitely not real leather (more like some kind of spray on coating)

2. it is not plastic, the POS is made out of cardboard inside the phony leather coating.

I can't believe they get away with calling this POS a leather case (for a mere $24.99)

Uh-oh, I ordered that case when I ordered the phone (which arrives on Friday). I may have to take this back and get the regular case/holster combo instead.

The sad thing is that I was hoping that these would be of a better quality than the stuff from Seidio (3 cases in 1 year for my TP2 = poor quality).

Take it back & get the Body Glove, that is MUCH higher quality.

ive got 3 of the leather kickstand cases, ive had 1 on for maybe a month and its holding up pretty well. i would really like to see the Quality of these cases increase cause of there price. but that is just the way it goes with everything the price goes up and the quality stays the same or declines.

I dont feel to bad about it though, i picked mine up for 12.50 each. so i really cant complain. the best case ive seen so far for the X is the VZW Silicone case, especially when you use it with the X Leather belt holster case. also picked up 3 each of these for 12.50 each when VZW had the promo going.

I have two of the phony leather cases, I also got them for 1/2 price (which is still too much IMHO considering the lousy quality)

I have tried a few different cases at this point & I think the Body Glove is by far the best quality one I have tried. The phone will fit in the VZ leather belt case with the BG although it is really tight at first.

I have two of the VZ leather cases that where also 1/2 price, but I have switched to a leather belt case I got from ebay that has fixed belt loops that work much better than the VZ clip that swivels (& gets looser with daily use)

can you post a few pics and/or a link to the ebay case, i like the vzw leather belt cases but the wearout to fast

I heard about this, my friend bought the same thing and her kick stand ended up breaking off, plus the leather is wearing off. She went to the VZ store & they wouldnt exchange it!!!
