Verizons launch of 4G in Nov making anyone think twice about Droid X??

I played with one for about 20 minutes yesterday and its an impressive phone!
As for 4G, Verizon has always been saying in their roadmap that they will release modem devices ONLY at first. With phones coming later on after several months.
So what I'm saying is, go for the Droid-X, and when a better device comes out in 6-7 months, assuming you have 4G coverage in your city, then you easily Ebay the droid-X or sell it to a friend, and upgrade yourself to the 4G device!

after 6 month the top of the line phone makes the previous one look poor. I am holding off on the X, to see when the Pro will be released and howe long it takes to get root access on the X.

i would definitely like to hold off for a 4G from VZW, but The DX is WAY to tempting.
its just easier for me to pay the extra 70 for a 1 year contract so i can upgrade year at the discount price every year if there is something i like. and the other line is a regular 2 yr contract.

i just wish i didnt have to wait for it for another week or so.

4g is not widely available! Yet dx is an amzing phone, there better ones coming out every 6months or less. If 4g is the new era of phones then some of our 3g phones will always be running fast close to 4g.

Like most said, I got the DX at launch and i'll be getting the 1st android 4g released then I'll probably be replacing that one 3 months later when the next uber phone comes out and so on lol.

The rapid advancement in mobile device technology is only gonna get even faster to the point where new phones will be out date previous models every 90 days.
