Need help on my Verizon VX6900

I am planning to flash my VX6900. The major motivation is to enable built-in GPS.
But I don't have a data plan, so I am planning to use Tomtom.

My concern is:
Which ROM should I choose? (I prefer a latest but clean version, i.e., no add-ons to OS)

What's the flashing procedure? I know there are so many posts on this, but I am lost among them.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Re: Need help on my Verizon VX6900

This is a very good question but it all depends on what ROM you are currectly running. If you have let the customizations run then you probably have locked the GPS.

My Vogue came with WM6 loaded & I never let the customizations run. I then unlocked it with Icoke 2.31 & flashed the Verzizon leaked ROM. GPS worked for the most part. I then flashed the offical Verizon ROM & things didn't change. I was able get the GPS to work & get really fast locks. I did have one problem & that was I basically had to softreset everytime I wanted to use the GPS. If I turned the phone off I would then have to softreset in order for the GPS to work again.

I am curretly running NFSFAN's Verizon ROM & the GPS works flawlessly with zero issues.
This is also with out any hacks or fixes. BTW, my situation is the same as yours. No data plan & using TomTom.
