Re: 6900: Email received, but won't send!
Some ISP's or email providers will not allow outgoing mail from a mobile device via their server. I had this issue w/ RoadRunner and it has to do w/ spam prevention. Use VZW's SMTP server for your outgoing server. Check this post I made over @ WMexperts addressing this..http://discussion.wmexperts.com/show...88#post1475688

Re: 6900: Email received, but won't send!
I had this problem with my sprint Vogue with Gmail. The only way to get it to send the messages was to manually sync in Active Sync. I then reflashed my phone and it started working again. Go figure, not sure what was up.

Re: 6900: Email received, but won't send!
Thanks...at least now I know the problem lies in the outgoing SMTP. I've changed it to smtp.vzwmail.net, but it does the same thing. I will try sign into that Verizon vtext thing when I get home from work tomorrow. I may have the setting right, but Verizon requires me to sign up for vtext to make it work??? I'm confused.
Anyone with tips on how to set this email up with Verizon wireless? Last edited by NDJollyMon; 09-29-2008 at 09:20 PM. |

Thanks Geekcop!
Once again...you were right. I did miss a step in your WMexperts post...and it was holding the send. Seems to be working perfectly after I went through your steps again. Thanks so much for helping me out...it sure is appreciated! |

Spoke too soon...Yahoo mail and my pop account won't send mail...only receive. WTF?
I added iLaunch last night...but all the setting look the same. |

Re: 6900: Email received, but won't send!
After 45 minutes on the phone with a Verizon Tech...PROBLEM SOLVED.
Turns out...somehow the password with Verizon was fouled up. I deleted both mail accounts, and then started over. The POP account had password issues...but the setting were correct. Thanks to the above posters for helping me with that. |
